Bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell on history (and upcoming summit in SA)

Many listeners of Bruce Whitfield’s The Money Show don’t need an introduction to bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell.

Gladwell is famed for smash-hits such as “The Tipping Point”, “Blink”, “Outliers” and “David and Goliath”.

His books and articles often deal with the unexpected implications of research in the social sciences.

Gladwell also has a podcast – entitled “Revisionist History” – in which he re-examines overlooked or misunderstood aspects of past events.

Time magazine ranks him as one of the 100 most influential people.

Whitfield interviewed Gladwell, who will visit South Africa for the BCXDisrupt Summit, to be held at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and International Convention Centre in Midrand on 16 and 17 November.

Other well-known speakers at the event include will.i.am (famed member of hip-hop/pop group The Black Eyed Peas) and Telkom CEO and turnaround guru Sipho Maseko.

Listen to the interview in the audio below (and/or scroll down for quotes from it).

Podcasts and books appeal to different people in different ways.
