‘ANC Rebel’ Lawrence Dube on why they are opposing the appeal by ANC

Lawrence Dube, African National Congress (ANC) rebel, says only the ANC NEC can represent the party when it comes to legal matters and not individuals.

The so-called “ANC rebels” have confirmed that they've gone to the Pietermaritzburg High Court to oppose the appeal by the KwaZulu-Natal executive committee which was found to have been elected unlawfully.

The KwaZulu-Natal leadership has filed an application to appeal a recent court ruling which nullified the 2015 ANC elective conference.

The national working committee doesn’t have original powers to make decisions, it only recommends. Only the NEC, in between legal matters, can make decisions.
