AfriForum says it prosecuting Duduzane Zuma to ensure equality before the law

In February 2014, Duduzane Zuma’s Porsche collided with a taxi, killing a woman named Phumzile Dube.

Although an inquest found Zuma’s negligent conduct led to the crash, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) decided to not prosecute.

Now, two years later since the NPA's decision, lobby group, AfriForum announced it intends to privately prosecute the son of President Jacob Zuma, Duduzane Zuma on charges of culpable homicide.

Kallie Kriel, Ceo at AfriForum says they are pursuing the case against Zuma to ensure equality before the law and to avoid political interference.

We need to protect the judiciary and legal system says Kriel.
