Vavi: I can't sleep at night for making Zuma the president

Saftu General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi says he struggles to sleep at night knowing he has put President Jacob Zuma in that position.

He says this 12th Cabinet reshuffle shows that Zuma only has the interest of his family and the Guptas at heart and not that of the workers and poor South Africans.

There's a Greek saying that says when the gods are dealing with you they first make you mad and I think the President has gone beyond that.

Zwelenzima Vavi, General Secretary of SA Federation of Trade unions

This is the President that we put in that position and some of us can't even sleep at night, we pinching ourselves asking why did we do that? Up to this time there is no answer to that except that maybe we were too angry with President Mbeki and we stopped thinking logically and here we are paying the price.

Zwelenzima Vavi, General Secretary of SA Federation of Trade unions

Blade Nzimande knows that he is paying the price too..

When asked who will he remove from the Cabinet, Vavi said he would remove Jacob Zuma and all the people who've been supporting him.

This is where the people are making a mistake. Zuma has acted with the support of the Cabinet and the support of National Executive Committee all the way.

Zwelenzima Vavi, General Secretary of SA Federation of Trade unions

You can remove Zuma today but you wouldn't have removed the corruption all the way from Cabinet to the Councillors and that's a crisis unfortunately...
