Last week, singer and former ANC MP Jennifer Ferguson published a personal blog with claims that she was raped by current South African Football Association (Safa) boss Danny Jordaan in 1993.
She relayed how she was invited to sing at a dinner hosted by leading South African sports bodies and officials at a hotel in Port Elizabeth when the incident occurred.
On Saturday, Jordaan told Times Live that he will respond but would not do so immediately.
Ferguson has since reached out to him, offering a mediation process.
Stephen Grootes asks why Jordaan, Safa and the African National Congress have remained silent on the matter.
Where is your denial Danny? But he is not the only one who is silent. He represents the ANC, he was their Mayor in Nelson Mandela Bay.— Stephen Grootes, 702 anchor
He is the president of the SA football association, that entire organisation is silent.— Stephen Grootes, 702 anchor
Jordaan has been accused of committing a serious crime and is staying silent hoping to protect himself but why is the ANC and Safa being complicit in the silence?— Stephen Grootes, 702 anchor
