Innovative online crime prevention system that empowers communities

Locstat is an innovative crime prevention system that empowers communities to take charge of their own safety.

It is an online service which incorporates crime incident analysis and visualisation in a geospatial environment.

CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies spoke to Locstat founder, Hallam Ford.

With Locstat we have a reporting mechanism, either through a web interface or an app, and it follows a specific taxonomy of reporting.

Hallam Ford, Founder of Locstat

It comes to our data storage system, from there we analyse the data and we visualise the data in a form of a heat map and disseminate back to the community.
