"The president has no bone in him that wants to account" - political analyst

Veteran journalist Jacques Pauw has revealed damning claims surrounding Nklosazana Dlamini-Zuma's campaign, and a network of people who have apparently kept President Jacob Zuma out of prison. This is all revealed in his new book titled “The Presidents Keeper."

The book exposes how Zuma failed to submit tax returns in the first five years of his presidency, and how his son Edward Zuma was paid monthly by suspected tobacco smugglers for his political influence.

Despite all the claims in the book, the only response to the book by the presidency is that Zuma's taxes are in order. Political Analyst Lukhona Mnguni says that is this unsurprising as the president's spokesperson barely goes into detail on any issue.

Between the [spokesperson] and the president there does not seem to be proper communication.

Lukhona Mnguni, Political Analyst

Mnguni feels that these short statements issued by the president's spokesperson are because is is flooded with issues surroundings Zuma.

He adds that these statements are put out just so they can be seen in the media without saying anything. For Mnguni this is just another way that Zuma is avoiding accountability - another move that is unsurprising.

This is not a spokesperson problem, the president generally has no bone in him that wants to account.
