Mkize wonders if Khwezi matter will ever be put to rest

ANC presidential candidate Dr Zweli Mkhize says the matter regarding the late Fezeka Kuzwayo, also known as Khwezi, was a “traumatic and painful situation”, adding that Khwezi grew up in front of him.

She is no more and I really wonder if we can get the matter to rest.

Responding to a question about rape accusations that Jennifer Ferguson has brought against Safa president Danny Jordann, Mkhize says he hasn’t spoken to either of them.

I’m not sure if anyone in the organization has.

Mkhize added that it's important that rape victims are given support.

Asked if Zuma should step down Mkhize said the matter was discussed in three meetings.

It was discussed in 3 meetings for him to step down but a decision was taken that he stay.

The presidential hopeful was inundated with questions about unity and how he would bring the ANC together.

Mhize was adamant that the party needs to create a leadership that is inclusive.

The ANC was built on the basis of unity... We need to talk about unity, we need to create a leadership that is inclusive.
