Henri van Breda murder trial is in its third day. He was asked to demonstrate how he managed to disarm the attacker on the night of the attack.
Van Breda demonstrated to the court how he scuffled with his family's attacker who was wielding a knife in his right hand.
EWN reporter Monique Mortlock says the court was trying to establish how Van Breda received the wounds and scratches to his body.
They questioned how he got off so lightly while his family was butchered.
He demonstrated to us how the scuffle took place between him and the attacker. This scuffle, according to Van Breda, took place after the attacker went after his father and brother but he didn't know about it yet.— Monique Mortlock, EWN reporter
When Van Breda was asked about his wounds and the fact that different experts said argued they were self-inflicted, he said, "It might appear so but it is not".
