Triple axe murder accused Henri van Breda is back on the witness stand on Monday as the defence’s final witness.
The State has been trying to establish how Van Breda sustained injuries to his back.
EWN reporter, Monique Mortlock, says Van Breda claims he couldn't remember how he sustained the scratches and bruises on his back, saying it could've been when he fell down the stairs while running after the attacker.

Prosecutor Susan Galloway argued that the injuries on his back came from his younger sister, Marli, fighting him off, but he has denied this.
State experts said that the injuries on his chest and arms are indicative of self-inflicted wounds.
The State also pressed Van Breda on why it took him a long time to call emergency services and why he first called his girlfriend at the time, Bianca van der Westhuizen.
