The powerful story behind "The Forest Man of India" Prudential ads

An investment management firm, Prudential Investment management, travelled to India to capture an inspiring story of the Forest Man of India Jadav "Molai" Payeng.

For four decades, Payeng has planted trees in the once flood-ravaged area of Jorhat, turning it from barren land to a forest that's almost double the size of New York's Central Park.

Head of Marketing at Prudential Investment Managers, Sumayya Davenhill, speaks to CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies about their journey to India and the motivation behind.

When you are at the Brahmaputra river, the scale of that river is amazing and once you see the outskirts - it was the most life-changing moment for everyone in the crew.

Sumayya Davenhill, Head of Marketing at Prudential Investment Managers

You cannot believe that one man can achieve that and you start questioning yourself, what can I do? That's why it is such a powerful story to bring back to South Africa.
