With December is fast approaching, many people may overindulge in the festivities and food which may ultimately impact their weight and set back their summer body goals.
Fitness instructor and host of REAL Health, Stacey Holland says she used to loathe the festive season before she began her health and fitness journey.
Nicci Robertson, clinical nutritionist, founder of the Re~Invent Company and author of the Re-Invent Wellness Coaching Methodology, reckons there are tricks and hacks one can do to indulge without falling off the bandwagon.
She adds that you can indulge - but know when to stop.

Holland believes when your goals are purely aesthetic you're likely to trip up, because when they aren't achieved then you probably will feel an immediate sense of failure.
Robertson notes that an optimistic mindset is key. She adds that if you are miserable, you will create brain chemistry that will drive you to eat the wrong things.

Holland recalls how she removed herself from certain interactions with friends and families to avoid being body shamed and disappointed with herself. To keep the focus, she says she associated herself with people who understood the journey she was on.
It took me over 365 days to lose that twenty-plus kilograms says Holland. She urges people to focus more on what they love about their bodies and work on enhancing those body parts.
