Mbete says Zuma must finish term with dignity, refuses to be drawn on Fezeka

Karima's Brown's Town Hall guest, national ANC chair and one of the 7 candidates in the running for President, Baleka Mbete believes Zuma should be able to complete his term with dignity as he has "contributed".

Mbete also believes that government's machinery can grow the ailing economy.

Baleka Mbete is part of a group of ANC leaders who refuse to deal with the political reality that faces them, the deep, deep disappointment that exists inside the ANC and outside. It's about the organisations inability to chart a way forward and reform from inside the organisation.

Mbete called herself a feminist saying she knew Fezeka Kuzwayo, the woman who accused Zuma of raping her in 2005, but she refused to be "pressurised" to answer any questions relating to the incident. Zuma was acquitted.

How does someone who called herself a feminist refuse to deal with a relationship that clearly spoke to the unequal relationships between men and women, particularly older men, rape culture and how we deal with rape survivors.

This isn't the kind of candidate an electorate under 36-years is going to find hope in, Brown said.
