ABSA feels that the public protector is not forth coming with information

The Spokesperson at ABSA, Songezo Zibi says that they believe that the public protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, didn’t run her investigation correctly. He adds that ABSA was not given the chance to dispute the allegations.

What came out of her report showed that there were further consultations and other information that she had, that we didn’t have an opportunity to dispute.

There were numerous interactions that the public protector had with the President says Zibi. He adds that this made it apparent, that she used this information to make her decisions.

The office of the public protector is founded in the Constitution itself, it is of absolute importance that that person is upstanding, that they are competent and that they enjoy the trust of the varying parties.
