On Tuesday night at about 5 or 6, I heard gunshots all the people I saw running were children. I came out of the house just running for the children, I saw a 6-year-old covered in blood... took a T-shirt and covered her and took her to my neighbours bakkie to take her to hospital.

Ashraf, eye witness

As he was helping the little girl, he was called to help a another 15-year-old who was shot in the stomach and another one shot in the hand. There was also an adult who was shot twice in the back.

According to Ashraf, the 15-year-old was on his way to the spaza shop to buy airtime when the man in the grey hoodie approached him and asked for his name.

After responding with his name, the suspect opened fire on him and the others.
