Libyan slave trade takes center stage at AU- EU summit

A joint task force has been set up to tackle slavery in Libya.

The crisis has been a central theme at the AU-EU Summit underway in the Ivory Coast.

More than 80 leaders from Africa and Europe have gathered in Abidjan.

Africa correspondent Jean-Jacques Cornish has more on the event.

Emmanual Macron the new French president has called it a crime against humanity and he has called for military and police action to stop it.

Countries are very careful not to blame Libya for it, but Macron is saying we have to help to bring the migrants held in Libya home.
