Outspoken former ANC MP Makhosi Khoza has launched a new political party called the African Democratic Change.
She resigned form the ANC and Parliament earlier this year after she claimed she was targeted for speaking out against corruption within the ruling party.
EWN reporter Thando Kubheka was at the launch.
She says present at the launch were civil society groups, student leaders, as well as disgruntled members of other political parties such as EFF and Agang who have left those parties.
While she says there were no prominent names in attendance, these are people looking for a new political identity and home.
Kubheka says Makhosi Khoza believes the party's name refers to the change needed.
