Makhosi Khoza: We must move from liberation struggle to democratic dispensation

The former African National Congress (ANC) MP, Makhosi Khoza, officially launched her new political party, African Democratic Change, on Saturday.

Khoza resigned from the ANC and Parliament after being targeted for speaking out against corruption within the ANC.

Khoza says the party consists of 16 organisations which took part in the 2016 local government elections.

We have individuals that came for the ANC, EFF and other political parties who wanted to come together for a common purpose that we have identified which is uniting South Africans.

Khoza says her party will contest the upcoming 2019 general elections because she believes South Africa needs a change from the liberation struggle into a democratic dispensation.

We need to start living within the culture of a constitutional democratic dispensation, not an underground culture that was marked by liberation struggle.

Makhosi Khoza, Former ANC MP

We are uncompromising on ethical and moral leadership. We have seen how much that has cost the country.

Makhosi Khoza, Former ANC MP

Keeping President Zuma has led us into junk status, unemployment and disinvestment and we cannot afford a situation like that.
