Suspended Eskom CFO Anoj Singh to appear at inquiry

The Parliamentary inquiry into the mismanagement of funds at state-owned power utility Eskom is set to resume tomorrow. The committee will receive evidence from the Eskom board and suspended CFO Mr Anoj Singh.

Natasha Mazzone, DA shadow minister of public enterprises and member of the Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises says that the Eskom board will appear in the morning, and Singh will appear in the afternoon.

It is still unknown which board members will appear at the hearing. As to other high profile people appearing at the hearing in future, Mazzone says that is yet to be determined.

It's been our practice as we go through this inquiry to try adn keep it quite quiet up until the very last as to who is testifying before us. That is to stop any political interference, other kinds of interference and also to keep the witnesses and members of the committee safe.
