Suspended Gauteng Health Department's HOD Barney Selebano is giving his final testimony at the Life Esidimeni arbitration hearings, where families of the victims and Justice Dikgang Moseneke have broken down in tears during an apology by Selebano.
Selebano says he takes accountability for the disastrous project.

Selebano has been testifying since Tuesday on the role he played in the transfer of patients from Esidimeni facilities to ill-equipped NGOs.
Eyewitness News reporter Masego Rahlaga attended the hearings.
The arbitration has taken this culture of giving every witness an opportunity to give closing remarks every time their testimony is done and when this opportunity was given, Dr Selebano he actually wanted to kneel down before the families to ask for forgiveness. People started to cry.— Masego Rahlaga, EWN reporter
For me personally this has been the most difficult story I have had to do in my career as a journalist.— Masego Rahlaga, EWN reporter
