ANC chief whip Jackson Mthembu says he voted for ANC presidential candidate Cyril Ramaphosa and five other "incorruptible leaders" for positions in the party's top six.
He also supports Lindiwe Sisulu for deputy ANC president and Senzo Mchunu for secretary general.
Mthembu says Ramaphosa has a high moral standing and has not looted money from the state or private sector.
He says the ANC needs saving and the elective conference provides an opportunity for the party to do so.
Mthembu argues that the governing party needs a moral leadership that will steer the party back to its values.
He says that if Ramaphosa does not win, the party will have missed an opportunity to take the ANC back to its former glory.
