A 'showdown' is expected at the ANC plenary on Tuesday evening to determine a solution to the suspected discrepancy in voting for the ANC's top six.
There are claims that the total number of ballots accounted for are 68 votes short of the number of voting delegates, reports EWN's Clement Manyathela.

Some ANC delegates have called for the recount of votes cast for the position of secretary-general.
This comes after Free State Premier Ace Magashule snatched the post from Senzo Mchunu by just 24 votes.
However, North West ANC Chairperson Supra Mahumapelo says he will demand a revote of all top six postions if a recount is granted.
