Officials have also created two separate queues based on the amount of water residents want to collect.

25 litres per person is the limit and security has been monitoring the abuse of water by commercial bodies, Stenslunde says.

The spring is also closed from 11pm unil 5am.

It is a concern for us around traffic. It does get very busy.

John Stenslunde, General Manager, Newlands Brewery

We have an express queue, for those coming in for less than 15 litres and we have a queue for those with 25 litre containers.
