EWN reporter Lindsay Dentlinger looks at what 2017 has been like for the South Africa Social Security Agency (Sassa).

The South Africa Social Security Agency (Sassa) has been making headlines in 2017, from the contract awarded to Net 1 and CPS, to appearing before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa), to resolving its working with the South African Post Office.

EWN reporter Lindsay Dentlinger has been following and reporting on the Sassa story since it broke earlier this year.

She speaks to CapeTalk's John Maytham about some of the highlights from the stories she covered in 2017.

The year started with a bang when it came to Sassa with some officials telling Parliament with only a month to go that they were not going to make its deadline....

Lindsay Dentlinger, EWN reporter

Bathabile Dlamini was not pitching before parliament and when she finally did she dropped a bombshell.
