Lawyer speaks: They must count and include the votes 'Nasrec 68' tell ANC

Dexter Selepe, the lawyer for the disgruntled delegates, says his clients have given him the green light to hear what the ANC’s leadership has to say about the missing 68 votes.

People have travelled hundreds of kilometres to attend the conference and now they are told they do not qualify.

The ANC was locked in a dispute on Wednesday at the 54th ANC National conference over the issue of 68 missing votes. The votes could have impacted the position of secretary general which was won by Ace magashule with a narrow margin of just 24 votes over Senzo Mchunu.

The so-called 'Nasrec 68' have demanded that their votes be considered in the count for the top office-bearers of the ruling party.

Asked what solution would suit the 68, Selepe said he has been instructed to tell the ANC to do the right thing.

They must count and include the votes.
