Two million shoppers expected at Sandton City in December

This is the time shoppers go on their biggest buying spree ever.

Between presents, food stuff for festive lunches and additional household items for all the guests coming over, this weekend before Christmas will see many people flock to the shops.

General manager at the Sandton Precinct, Preston Gaddy, says that are expecting millions of people this month and that they have prepared for the influx.

We are probably expecting over two to two and a half million through Sandton City this December. Even on Black Friday we had roughly 170 000 shoppers come through our doors just on that day alone.

Gaddy says that to compensate for the increased traffic that have more security throughout the mall and have attendants showing people where additional parking can be found.
