Claims of poisoning politicians interogated

There have been questions following a claim by newly elected ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule that the Free State head of police, roads and transport department Sandile Msibi, was poisoned.

According to reports, Magashule was speaking at Msibi's funeral at the weekend when he revealed how President Jacob Zuma was approached to help get Msibi treatment in Russia.

Mandy Wiener speaks to Dr Esthelle Nel, a forensic pathologist at the Medical Legal Laboratory on The Midday Report.

What we do see sometimes are cases of organophosphate poisoning or aldicarb poisoning where you can clearly see some of the remnants of it still present in the stomach.
