Background screening company urges matriculants against faking certificates to give themselves an edge in the tight job market.

Head of Communications at Managed Integrity Evaluation, Jennifer Barkhuizen has warned matriculants against faking results to get jobs.

She says some students might be tempted to manipulate their results to give themselves a better chance of getting a job due to high unemployment rate.

Depending on the checks you want to do on that specific individual, we will assist regarding the qualifications and the institution.

Jennifer Barkhuizen, Head of Communications at Managed Integrity Evaluation

In that moment of desperation you can ultimately affect your future career indefinitely.

Jennifer Barkhuizen, Head of Communications at Managed Integrity Evaluation

Committing qualification fraud is a criminal offence and a lot of people don't think of it in that way. If you are caught you can be jailed and have a criminal record.

Jennifer Barkhuizen, Head of Communications at Managed Integrity Evaluation

Barkhuizen says students who did not pass their matric well or even those that did not pass at all there are other opportunities for them.

She urges those students to consider other avenues like volunteering and righting their matric again.

We urge candidates to rather go that route rather than embellish your qualification and be caught out.
