'I'm not asking you, I'm telling you' Ajay Gupta tells Themba Maseko

Themba Maseko, former Government Communication and Information Systems (GCIS) CEO, has revealed shocking details of how the Gupta brothers tried to capture him.

Maseko revealed how he was pressured by the Gupta family to place government ads in their then newspaper the New Age.

Maseko said Mcebisi Jonas, former deputy finance minister, inspired him to speak out about the extent to which the Gupta family has captured the state.

When I heard Mcebisi speaking that’s when I decided to speak out, we can’t allow a few immigrants to come to South Africa and do as they please.

The former GCIS CEO says Ajay Gupta insisted on meeting with him even though he had asked him to make an appointment.

Ajay said I was being difficult and he wants to meet me himself… He [Ajay] said 'I can see you are being difficult, I will talk to your superiors and you will be sorted out'. Ajay Gupta demanded me to put money in their companies.
