Cape Town residents express uncertainty about city's plans beyond Day Zero

EWN reporter Kevin Brandt spoke to some Capetonians who are currently queuing for water at the Newlands Spring.

They voiced their frustrations and concerns with what has been dubbed Day Zero, the day when the City will be switching off all the water supply to residents.

Brandt says Minister of Water and Sanitation Nomvula Mokonyane told members of the media that the situation is not yet at the emergency stage. But, it seems many Capetonians are really concerned about whats going to happen beyond Day Zero.

I believe a lot of it has to do with the uncertainty around Day Zero...

Kevin Brandt, EWN reporter

The City of Cape Town has not yet come out to give residents specifications of what will be playing out on that day.
