NPA and Hawks give an update on Zwane & Guptas matter

Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi says he can’t name people who are central to investigations but confirmed that the Hawks have completed the investigation into the Free State dairy farm case.

This could be the last stage of our investigation unless if the NPA says we need to go back to do more investigations.

Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi

It’s understood the investigation relates to the Estina dairy farm project near Vrede in which the Guptas pocketed millions.

The Asset Forfeiture Unit obtained a preservation order with regards to the more than 4,000 hectares of farm land and the more than R220 million in several bank accounts linked to the Guptas.

Mulaudzi could not confirm if Ace Magashule and Mosebenzi Zwane were the ones being investigated.

I can’t give you that information because I don’t want to jeopardize the case.

Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi
