Cape Town mayor Patricia de Lille is adamant that she will not step down and that allegations around her remain untested.
De Lille is facing a motion of no confidence against her.
It is believed nearly half the Democratic Alliance's caucus in the Western Cape want her gone.
Western Cape DA leader Bonginkosi Madikizela says the motion was taken to a caucus meeting where members agreed to put it to vote. He says of the 144 members who participated, 84 voted in favor of the motion.
702's Eusebius McKaiser asked her a host of questions and asked whether the numbers are factually accurate.
