WWF Water Files: Power of pulling together

This week's World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Wednesday Water File is looking at the "power of pulling together".

The Wednesday Water files provide Capetonians with valuable and relevant information to help them deal with the water crisis in the province and prepare for Day Zero - the day the taps will begin to be turned off. Capetonians water saving efforts have seen this day now pushed back to 4 June.

Senior Manager Freshwater Progamme for WWF, Christine Colvin says the most important resource to help residents deal with the water crisis is the relationship with each other.

Relationships are critical to help us to continue save water because everybody has different types of skills that they can bring into the conversation, neighborhoods and into families to help save and cope with Day Zero.

This is about sharing the love in our communities, looking for people that you can help, and thinking about what you have to offer to schools and neighbours, and it doesn't always have to be water.

This is encouraging everybody to think of what they've done best to save water and try to share that to a school or your neighbors because we all live in different types of water communities.
