Hawks have arrested 5 people since Gupta Raid

This morning the Hawks executed an operation that saw searches of various properties, including the Gupta family's compound in Saxonwold.

Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi, Hawks Spokesperson says that they cannot reveal the identities of the people who have been arrested, but there are reports that a Gupta relative is among those who have been taken into custody.

He adds that five people have been arrested at this point and that there are two outstanding suspects.

What we can divulge now is that we have arrested five suspects. Those suspects are linked to the dairy farm saga. They have been transported to Bloemfontein, where they will be formally charged and prepared for court tomorrow.

Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi, Hawks Spokesperson

Mulaudzi, says the suspects have been taken to Bloemfontein as the Estina diary farm saga occurred in the Free State, so it is a matter of jurisdiction.

He adds that there are other investigations happening and more arrests are imminent.
