Cape Town Mayor Patricia De Lille says she wants to resolve the friction within the city council and the DA caucus.
De Lille survived a motion of no confidence against her by the narrowest of margins.
Out of the 224 councillors who voted in the chamber, 110 councilors voted against the motion and 109 voted in favour.
There were three abstentions and three councilors did not vote, explains EWN's Kevin Brandt,
Although council voted using an open ballot, it is not yet clear how many DA councilors voted against De Lille.
