LISTEN: Cancer sufferer tells of experience with insurance giant

Client Suren Narismulu says he took life insurance with dreaded disease cover with Liberty Life but did not have any chronic diseases at the time. He later discovered that he has cancer and the insurance is repudiating the claim.

Now I am sitting with a situation where I am not getting any feedback. I'm just given a decline from all parties of Liberty Life.

Suren Narismulu, Liberty Life customer

Narismulu believes that Liberty Life brokers should require a doctor's report attached to the application form so they can be aware of other material stuff which the GP in his case put down as symptoms not conditions.

Now I'm unemployed, I had to concentrate on my health because I knew I had an insurance policy to take care and tide me until I find employment. I am now destitute, I have lost everything and Liberty Life refuses to pay me.
