Youngest cop killed at eNgcobo police station had just 2 months on the job

More details are emerging about the cult at the centre of investigations into the murder of five police officers and a retired solider in Ngcobo last week.

On Friday police were involved in a shoot out with members of the Mancoba Seven Angels Ministry, seven suspects were killed and ten were arrested.

According to EWN reporter, Hitekani Magwedze, the police task team received a tip off that the suspects were hiding in a church in Enyanda.

He says about 100 women and children who were kept on the church premises, some as sex slaves, were rescued during the raid.

Meanwhile, a relative of one of the officers killed on Tuesday phoned in to the Kieno Kammies Show to express the family's shock and sadness.

Kuhle Metete, 27, was the youngest officer murdered at the Ngcobo police station.

His cousin Mthuthuzeli has described him as a humble, easy-going person.

He was quite young. He had just finished his police training in December so this was his second month on the job.
