The supermarket has removed products linked to the listeriosis outbreak and offer full customer refunds on returns.

Following Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi's announcement of the origin of Listeriosis outbreak in South Africa, Woolworths supermarket has published a list of products to be recalled.

Motsoaledi announced the source of a disease which claimed about 180 lives so far as an Enterprise factory in Limpopo and a Rainbow Chicken facility in the Free State.

In a statement, Woolworths said, "Food safety is of paramount importance and we take all issues regarding the production of our food seriously".

Following the recent announcement by the Department of Health on the source of the Listeriosis outbreak, and as an additional precautionary measure, we are recalling a limited number of viennas and cold meats.
