'We're not meant to be monogamous' - Sex expert

Have you ever wondered why some people are serial cheaters?

Well, according to one sex and love expert, it's because of the pressure society puts on us to be monogamous.

Louise Van Der Velde claims that by our very nature as humans, we're not designed to have one partner for life.

The idea of monogamy was originally set up as a business transaction, a way of keeping the bloodline clear. But there's actually evidence to suggest this goes against our DNA and how we, as humans, are actually mean to be.

Louise Van Der Velde, Sex & love expert, author of Decent Proposal

Van Der Velde reckons expectations imposed on us by society are unrealistic in the long run.

Society has set us up to fail. We make these unrealistic promises that go against our biology.
