[WATCH] 'EFF proposals are disastrous, ANC flip-flops, and DA is flat out wrong'

John weighs in on the land reform debate...

The EFF's proposals are disastrous. they would be ruinous to economic stability in this country.

John Maytham, CapeTalk host

I cannot find words that are strong enough to express my opposition to the way that the EFF thinks about land and land expropriation in this country.

John Maytham, CapeTalk host

He adds that there is a debate to be had about the way the ANC has 'flip-flopped' on the issue.

But there is also the issue of doing something about land reform.

John Maytham, CapeTalk host

He implores people who are hot under the collar about the notion of land expropriation to do a bit of work to understand why it is so important and such an emotive issue for people in South Africa.

And the DA SMS really annoyed him and many others over the weekend and read: '"ANC & EFF working together to take all private land and homes. You can only stop this if you're registered correctly to vote! Check now."

That SMS was just flat out wrong!

John Maytham, CapeTalk host

he says that is a misunderstanding of both EFF and ANC positions on the issue and is 'factually wrong'.
