'It's farewell, not goodbye' - local band Manouche on their decision to split.
They broke their fans hearts when they announced that they would be splitting to pursue solo ventures earlier this month.
Local band Manouche have been performing together for ten years, but say now is the right time to part ways.
With their unique Gypsy Jazz sound, they group have become firm favourites on the SA music scene, and have had the opportunity to tour internationally.
Speaking to Late Nights host Sara-Jayne King, they explained the reason for the split.
It's not for any bad reasons. We dont hate each other or anything like that. Quite the contrary actually.Diana, Manouche
We just thought that we want to do our own thing, go in separate directions. But we're still very tight, we're still family.Annalie, Manouche
The good news for fans is that they're not going out without a swansong. The band will be performing a farewell tour in Cape Town and is releasing a brand new EP.
