Huff Post editor responds to 'race baiting' Malema

Julius Malema has taken aim at the media during a wide-ranging speech on Wednesday evening.

The EFF leader addressed a number of issues, but honed in on Huffington Post SA editor Ferial Haffajee who recently wrote a piece on the opposition party.

In the article, she compared Malema to former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin.

When Malema is in the strident dictator mode, spitting venom at easy targets, he reminds me of a 'kiddie' Amin, a young version of the man who called himself the King of Scotland, the Ugandan dictator Idi Amin.

Ferial Haffajee, Huffington Post South Africa’s Editor-at-Large .

Speaking to Bongani Bingwa, Haffajee said she and Malema go back a long way and she has been covering him for more than 10 years since he was president of the ANCYL.

...the entirety of the article did look at the strengths of the EFF, but warned against what I see to be race baiting...whether he should use his podium as a bully pulpit like he did, the jury is out on that.

Ferial Haffajee, Huffington Post South Africa’s Editor-at-Large .
