Tiger Brands hit with class action suit over largest ever listeriosis outbreak

Our clients don’t have a lot of money… polony is largely consumed by people without much money… We’re running this litigation, at risk… We’re not asking anyone to pay anything upfront… We’re asking for 20% of the winnings… If we can recoup our costs from Tiger Brands that will fall away…

Thamsanqa Malusi, Richard Spoor Attorneys

Richard Spoor Attorneys has filed a class action lawsuit against Tiger Brands and Enterprise Foods on Thursday.

The class action suit relates to the world’s worst ever listeriosis outbreak, which killed at least 180 people after they allegedly ate the companies’ polony, viennas and russians.

In a class action lawsuit, one of the parties is a group of people who are represented collectively by a member of that group.

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Thamsanqa Malusi from Richard Spoor Attorneys.

Malusi is the lead attorney in the class action lawsuit.
