CPT boutique store issues refund after owners went AWOL

A customer of a clothing boutique in Cape Town whose owners went AWOL with her money says she's managed to get a refund.

Last month customers and suppliers of the Occasions store in Canal Walk were left high-and-dry when the shop closed suddenly.

Now Liza Cliff says she has managed to get a refund from owners Ari and Bernadette Lifschitz.

Cliff says they contacted her after she spoke on CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies Show and the money owed to her was deposited into her account the following day.

Bernadette said to me there was a big misunderstanding and said can I please have your banking details and the money was in my account the following day.

Liza Cliff, CapeTalk listener

Although the owners declined an invitation to appear on the show to explain their side of the story, they have said that they are willing to reimburse anyone who has a claim against them.

Staff members have also paid their outstanding salaries.

Ocassions owners can be contacted through email on Occasions@live.co.za
