The Inspector-General of Intelligence has launched a court application seeking to prevent Director General of the State Security Agency (SSA) Arthur Fraser from interfering in his investigations.
Inspector-General of Intelligence Setlhomamaru Dintwe claims Fraser tried to unlawfully revoke his security clearance in a bid to prevent him being able to investigate Fraser's own alleged misconduct.
Arthur Fraser has purported to withdraw his [Dintwe's] clearance and denied him access even to his own office. So he [Dintwe] is saying he cant do his job - his constitutionally mandated job.
He also points to an investigation that he is conducting as the Inspector-General into allegations against Arthur Fraser as the DG.— Sam Sole, Journalist at amaBhungane Centre for Investigative Journalism
