Raising the issue of cleanliness in the city, King asked whether other people had also noticed a rise in the amount of filth and waste on beaches, in parks and the CBD.

It soon became a hot topic, with listeners calling in to share their stories.

People are leaving papers everywhere, dogs are running wild. It is filthy, and the municipality are doing NOTHING. It is filthy.
