'If you want to honour Mam'Winnie, name the Cape Town airport after her'

Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) Julius Malema put the African National Congress (ANC) to task during his speech at the struggle stalwart Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's funeral.

Malema launched a fiery attack on those he says betrayed the icon.

Some of those who sold you out to the regime are here. And what is funny mama, is that they are crying the loudest than us who cared for you.

Julius Malema, EFF leader

Malema also touched on the treatment the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the ANC womens league NEC members gave Madikizela-Mandela.

Mama, why did the UDF call a press conference to disassociate themselves from you? Because you were never a member of the UDF, you were a member of the ANC. You were the only one pronouncing the ANC in the 80s. Why did the UDF see the need to disassociate with a person who was not their member?

Julius Malema, EFF leader

All those who resigned from the NEC from the Women’s League because they said they could not associate with a ‘criminal’, they are here. Some of them have played prominent roles in your funeral. In a funeral of a person they called a criminal and a person they were ready to humiliate in front of the whole world.

Julius Malema, EFF leader

Malema questioned which ANC Madikizela-Mandela wanted them to return to. He says does she want them to return to the ANC that sold her out.

If it's true that the ANC honours Winnie Madikizela-Mandela name the Cape Town international airport the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela airport.

Julius Malema, EFF leader
