Makhosi Khoza: As a leader you have to assess where you will make maximum impact
Former ANC MP Makhosi Khoza has announced her decision to leave politics for good.
Khoza has resigned as a leader of newly-formed political party African Democratic Change (ADeC).
She spoke to CapeTalk/702's Ray White on her decision to leave politics.
If you are a leader you have to assess where you will be making maximum impact. I got to that stage where I felt I would make more impact in local government and elevation of African languages especially in the areas of mathematics and science.Makhosi Khoza, Former ANC MP
Khoza says it is not a good situation that South Africa rates 138 out of 138 in mathematics and science globally. She says she has done a study with Cambridge University which proves that IsiZulu is mathematically formulated.
There is simply no way you can prosper as a nation if you don't invest enough in mathematics.Makhosi Khoza, Former ANC MP
Khoza became very vocal in the ANC calling for Jacob Zuma to resign. Now she says she believes President Ramaphosa will do well but she is not happy with the fact that David Mavusa is just a step away from becoming president.
I was once chased in his hospital after unearthing the wrong things that were happening in the hospitals but I really believe that Cyril Ramaphosa must be supported but he needs to get rid of these elements that are morally compromised.Makhosi Khoza, Former ANC MP
