New route launched for cyclists in Mother City
The Western Cape Government has launched a new cycle route - the 'Cycle Tour 364' - for cyclists in the Mother City.
This is the second in a network of routes promoting cycle tourism in the province, explains Economic Opportunities MEC, Alan Winde.
The new 123 km scenic route starts and finishes at the V&A Waterfront.
It takes in the spectacular Atlantic Seaboard, summits Chapman’s Peak and conquers the world famous Suikerbossie hill.
The route will be accessible to riders on every single day of the year, except on the annual Cape Town Cycle Tour.
Winde says the 'Cycle Tour 364' will be marketed to locals and tourists as a must-do cycle experience.
