Convicted wife killer Christopher Panayiotou's application for leave to appeal his murder conviction has been dismissed.
Judgment was delivered in the Eastern Cape High Court on Thursday morning.
He was the mastermind behind his wife Jayde Panayiotou's murder in April of 2016.
EWN Reporter Shamiela Fisher said in November 2017, after Panayiotou was convicted for his wife's murder, his defence team had already indicated that they plan to appeal.
Fast forward a few months later, yesterday his defence team, argued extensively that they believe that the judge ignored vital evidence in his judgment. They argued that claims were made by the self-confessed middleman that he was assaulted and forced into making a confession.— Shamiela Fisher, EWN Reporter
